I’ve been working online since: As far back as I can remember I have always had the desire to help make a difference in people’s lives whether I was helping special needs children through adaptive physical education, helping post-cardiac men and women become stronger and healthier, or helping assess young Olympic level athletes. Then in 1997 I took the plunge, and started my own In-Home Personal Fitness Training business called Bodies In Balance. My desire through my business was to continue to help make a difference by helping individuals succeed with their wellness goals.

As my two children became more independent I began to have a desire to re-evaluate my passion and purpose in life beyond my passion and purpose with my children, and my personal training business. I found myself on a journey that included discovering the exciting online world of business. I realized just how much I truly wanted to help other mom entrepreneurs build successful online businesses. I also discovered that so many of you were excited about your businesses, your passions, yet you were at a point where the demands of maintaining and expanding your business were creating stresses, burdens, and hardships on yourself, family, friends, and your business.

So with much due diligence, I found one of the best ways that I could help was to become a Certified Online Business Management Specialist, and a member of the International Association of Online Business Managers which I did in 2012. The training and certification process was one of the most challenging yet rewarding experiences that I have had the privilege to do. Following the training, certification, and during the Online Business Management mentorship program I launched EvoMerja Business Solutions.

I realize that the online business world is constantly evolving, and new ideas and strategies emerging, and I may not know everything at this moment, but what I do know is this….. Your business passion is my passion!

Why I love working as an OBM: I look forward to working as an Online Business Management Specialist where I can help manage all aspects of my client’s business so they can focus their time, energy, and talents on doing what they do best to grow their business. It’s exciting to be a part of the growth process, and to be a part of my clients making a difference in their client’s lives and businesses. Equally exciting is being able to provide an opportunity for my client’s to experience a “sigh of relief” mentally, physically, and emotionally-going from “Chaos to Calgon”!

My Strengths and Areas of Specialty: I invest 100% into everything that I do with my clients! I will partner with my clients, and do whatever it takes to help them achieve the business success they desire, and the life they desire. I am professional, caring, knowledgeable, and if I don’t know something I will figure it out, find the answer, or find the resources needed. I hold to my word, take ownership, help reduce the day to day chaos, and get things done so my clients can enjoy a sigh of relief. I will seek out resources, experts, and anything else that may be needed to complete the task at hand efficiently and effectively.

My strengths and areas of specialty include:

1. Managing projects

-Creation of project plans including timeline, processes, people, and other resources

-Delegating details of the project to various team members/specialists

-Communicating project status to all team members/specialists

-Following up, and handling any challenges for the project

2. Managing Team Members

-Identify team needs based on business goals

-Find, interview, and manage new team members so everyone is on the same page

-Keep an eye on the budget, and measurements of success for each role.

-Keeping team motivated, and handle challenges that may arise

3. Managing Operations

-Review key systems needed to run the business to determine if they are effective and efficient

-Create processes, tools, and players for key systems

-Create and maintain SOP Guide

-Management of client payment and collection process

4. Managing Metrics

-Keep track of key statistics for the business

-Set up a reporting system that includes what to track

-Analyze metrics and discuss trends/patterns with business owner

My favorite kind of client to work with is: My favorite kind of client to work with is a mom entrepreneur who is building a business in the wellness industry that helps other moms or women by empowering them physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in their lives and in their own businesses. She has a business that is just beyond the start-up/development stage that is growing, where we can grow together. She has lots of clients, and her business is generating revenue between $75,000-$150,000/year. She has too much on her plate and feels like there isn’t enough time in the day because she is doing so much of the day to day business tasks herself that she is feeling stressed, overwhelmed, drained, and doesn’t see any light at the end of the tunnel and needs help! She may be lacking in organization, and system utilization, and needs someone to re-evaluate her business systems, and implement appropriate and efficient systems, processes, organization. She wants to have a partner/right-hand person who is passionate about her business, which she can collaborate with, bounce ideas off of, and feel confident in my abilities to help her business continue to move forward. She has a VA, and maybe one other team member, and periodic specialists that are project specific, but not a big team at this point yet. She is fun, positive, understanding, respectful, relatable, considerate, exciting, and truly cares about her business and her target market!

My Business Goals for this year are….: My business goals for the year are to continue to grow and learn as an Online Business Management Specialist. I would like to have 2-3 ideal OBM clients that I love working with. For those businesses that are not in need of an OBMS yet, I would like to be working with them in a consulting position to help them with specific projects, launches, virtual/live events, and assessing their revenue streams/marketing funnels-internet marketing strategies-systems and processes.
